Joy lives in Hawaiian Paradise Park with her husband “Weldin” Sheldon Lehman and their dog Makamae and cat Kuʻuipo. She has represented Hawaii Representative district 4 since 2014 and presently represents Hawaii Senate district 2. She was the chair of the Senate Human Services Committee and a member of the Commerce and Consumer Protection Committee in the last legislative session.
